Our surgeons were trained at some of the top medical schools in America, and all of them are board certified by the American Board of General Surgery. We rank in the top 10 percent in the nation for ‘Surgical Care Improvement Practices’ – meaning our patients have very low risk of complications.

Alleghany Regional’s experienced and highly-specialized surgical team performs a wide variety of surgical procedures in state-of-the-art surgical suites with one goal in mind – providing patients with the highest quality surgical care. Our surgeons’ support staff, including nursing supervisors, circulating nurses, and surgical technicians, shares that vision of quality care and are all highly trained. And we’re fortunate to have many surgeons on staff skilled in both minimally invasive and traditional surgical procedures.

With six operating suites and a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), we can accommodate a broad range of surgeries including:

Ambulatory or Outpatient Surgery

Thanks to recent and continued advancements in medical technology, surgical techniques and pain management, many surgical procedures today are performed on an outpatient basis at Alleghany Regional. In fact, more than 70 percent of surgeries performed here are outpatient with patients being in and out of the hospital in less than 24 hours. What does this mean for you? A quick return to the comfort of your own home the same day as your surgery. Minimally invasive surgical procedures, advanced imaging, and microsurgical techniques mean you’re not just back home the same day, but often times also able to move about freely.
